The inspiration for this shoot came from two old world charm of a fairytale and the crisp hues of autumn in the Berkshires. The concept was to capture the wonderment and sweetness of an old time fable. Positively chock full of character, the historic Santarella in Tyringham, MA served as the perfect venue with it’s many enchanted nooks and medieval inspired elements. Our bride was an absolute vision thanks to the skilled team from Naomi’s Studio & Salon. We really wanted our bride’s natural beauty to take center stage and so selected understated elegant gowns from Pearl Bridal and accented her ensemble with some fabulous adornments. Glowing with other worldly grace, our fairytale bride was crowned with an exquisite hand crafted tiara made from delicate gilt blossoms courtesy of Heart of Gold Designs. She also glittered with the lovely jewels of Rebekah Brooks. Our dapperly dressed “prince charming” was decked out in finery from Jackson & Connor and was truly a chivalrous sight. The table setting, styled by Kat Lockridge of Classical Tents was laid with ruff-spun linen trimmed with lace, mismatched vintage china and garnished with delectable harvest treats. The strikingly beautiful floral arrangement served as a magnificent centerpiece complete with woodland elements ranging from pheasant feathers and fungi to lotus pods and vibrant clusters of berries. This as well as the bridal bouquets and boutonnieres were designed by Forget Me Not Florist and acted as the perfect finishing touch to this autumnal fairytale wedding.

When Michelle and Tyler told us they wanted a vintage 1930′s look for their engagement pictures we knew right away that the glamorous Hartford Society Room and Hartford City Hall would be perfect locations. We had an absolute blast photographing this awesome couple! Here are just a few of our favorites from their fabulous shoot.
We are so excited to show you our new boudoir scene at the studio, we love it!

When Talia & Ben told us they wanted their engagement pictures in Boston we couldn’t have been more excited. We began at The Boston Harbor and then to escape the 90 degree heat we headed over to the New England Aquarium. From this fun-loving couple to the incredible location it was an unforgettable shoot!
Talia & Ben we are counting down the days until your wedding!

We are beyond excited to finally share this beautiful styled shoot on our blog! The inspiration for this shoot came from that most opulent and glamorous Gatsby era, the inimitable 1920’s. The vision was to create marvelous scenes reminiscent of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s most notorious work. Full of grandeur and historic character, The Society Room of Hartford served as the perfect venue providing architectural drama and elegant interiors.
A huge thanks to everyone for their hard work on this shoot!
This was an amazing project from start to finish!

Behind the scenes!
At the beginning of May we held an on-location boudoir event at Carr’s Cider House in Hadley. The weather was lovely and the apple blossoms were blooming, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. A big thanks to Eutopia Events for the incredible styling of the event, to Crystal Vazquez & Company for the gorgeous hair & makeup and of course the lovely ladies who participated!
I have no one to blame but myself for this blog post! I am so thrilled with this 'after' picture (the before needs some work -- but Liz worked a miracle! Check out her work -- http://www.bridalbyliz.com I am always struggling to express to our clients the importance of professional hair and make-up. If you needed an example -- I AM IT! Check out these images that Melanie Zacek (part of team dfp!) took of me. A little hair, ALOT of make-up and I am camera ready! Not to mention the photographic skills of Mel! Liz Washer (seriously - check her out!) is fabulously talented and easy to work with. (She also has super soft make-up brushes that feel like clouds!) It was a relaxing and pampering experience.
